Hunter Denman

My Story

Today, we are honored to share the powerful and moving story of Hunter Denman.

Through the voice of his mother, we’re reminded of the incredible dedication,

compassion, and expertise of the medical professionals who care for our warriors. We

are deeply grateful to Hunter’s family for sharing their journey with us.

Hunter was diagnosed with DSRCT in November 2023. Our world stopped. We were

directed at the University of Kansas and their rare Sarcoma specialist, Dr. Powers,

whom we adore. Dr. Powers made it very clear that we would start hitting this beast with

the big chemo guns. Ultimately, we would be going to MSK in New York City (our hope

was Spring, but we ended up going within a few months). Today, after one and a half

years, we have no evidence of disease.’

We are truly blessed that every provider kept pushing us into the right hands. Hunter

has been through some chemo regimens that were truly horrible. He has been blessed

to have some surgeries that have been very successful thus far. He is halfway through a

year of maintenance chemo with the hope of keeping the demon at bay.

Kids, young adults, sons, brothers and sometimes fathers are being killed by this every

day—and we will absolutely share our story. Go to government leaders, try to find a way

to ensure that everyone receives the right to treatment!
